[Unconfirmed] Super Junior Super Show 3 in Manila
1 comments 5:36 PM Posted by LiveManilaSuJu fans should rejoice, after their successful [yet expensive] concert here in Manila last April, apparently, the boys are coming back to MNL for Super Show 3.
Although there are no confirmed details yet, rumours are flying about in cyberspace that Manila is definitely in the shortlist.
SuJu fans, if I were you, I'd save my money and hope for the best!
We'll provide more information when it arrives!

We went online a little late today, hence the delayed reaction to this band's announcement.
Yesterday, Gin Blossoms posted this on their official Facebook page: "Have some BIG..scratch that..COLOSSAL news! Stay tuned! Or do you want a hint OR care to take a guess?"
Today they added "Regarding the previous post...we're going to be performing in Pac-Man's home country soon! Very excited! It'll be our FIRST time over there!"
They also posted the hint on their Twitter account:
A quick look at their Tour Dates reveal a packed schedule for July. We hope more details on their upcoming show(s) in the Philippines will be announced soon.
Gin Blossoms who?? They're a band who became popular in the 90s with hits such as Hey Jealousy, Until I Fall Away, Mrs. Rita, Follow You Down and Til I Hear It From You (which was on the soundtrack of the 1995 film Empire Records)
Their new album No Chocolate Cake is scheduled for release on September 28, 2010.

[Concert Report] Train Live at Alabang Town Center
0 comments 9:41 AM Posted by WGTrain is one of those bands who are popular and have been around for years but never had the chance to visit the Philippines. Foreign musicians visiting the Philippines tend to be for the "oldies" audience, or the young and mainstream audience.
I was in high school when Train's song Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me) became a hit. They're one of the bands I never thought would be able to do a show in Manila so it was a real treat to be sitting in front of the stage last night.
The show started at around 7:30pm. I didn't mind the additional wait, as some seats were not yet occupied when the show was scheduled to begin. It was also good to see a good audience turnout.
One of the show's highlights: Pat Monahan singing the first part of When I Look To The Sky a capella
More stories, photos after the jump:
I was captivated by lead singer Patrick Monahan as soon as he went onstage. He was able to connect with the audience the moment he opened his mouth to sing.
My friends and I couldn't help but say, "oh he looks better in person!" Haha.
Pat was a joy to watch as he never stayed in one spot too long. He indulged fans on the leftmost and rightmost sides of the venue by singing in front of their areas. He danced around onstage, and even took the cameras of fans to take photos of him with them.
I watched drummer Scott Underwood and he looked really amused with the audience
Jimmy Stafford, the lead guitarist also looked very happy. When he switched to the ukelele for Hey, Soul Sister and saw how the audience sang along, he had the biggest smile on his face.
(Btw, did you know Jimmy has a blog?)
Before She's On Fire ended, Pat called for 5 females onstage. They chose two groups of friends.
The girls were given trainette t-shirts. Oh they looked so excited! These girls were probably very young when Train first entered the music scene.
Pat said they had to do two things: dance and sing. The girls participated by singing along with Pat to She's On Fire.
They ended the set with Hey, Soul Sister then darted off backstage. People chanted "More, more," then it didn't take long before the band came back.
Pat said he got the vest at the mall
encore: Drops Of Jupiter
Pat said it was their first time in the Philippines and they should have visited sooner. He also said it was their first time to perform in a mall (haha). Well, we Filipinos can't always count on concert producers to bring artists here. It's good that Ayala Malls continue to bring foreign artists for mall shows.
They sound very good live, even better than their recordings. There was never a dull moment. Pat kept constant interaction with the audience.
I do hope they come back for another show.
Thank you for putting on a great show
